Mauch Chunk Trust Company announces that Nicole Barbaro, Senior vice president and chief financial officer, recently graduated from the Financial Managers School, co-presented by the Financial Managers Society and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The program is designed by financial institution CFOs for financial institution financial managers and goes beyond the basics to present best practices and provide the information necessary to build a solid foundation in asset/liability management.
Barbaro began her career in banking in 2007 with the Mauch Chunk Trust Company. During her 17 years, she held various positions including teller/customer service representative, accounting analyst, accounting supervisor and controller. She was promoted to chief financial officer in January 2022.
Barbaro is a 2018 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Cedar Crest College in Allentown, holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Previous to that she attended Lehigh Carbon Community College in Schnecksville, achieving an associate degree in accounting. She is a graduate of Lehighton Area High School and resides in Carbon County.
In addition to her professional responsibilities with Mauch Chunk Trust, Barbaro was a 2017 graduate of the Leadership Carbon Program and currently serves on the PA Bankers Association Young Professionals Network Committee.
