It seemed as though every soul living in Brockton was seated on the ground of, or in the roadway in front of, the new Veterans Memorial as it was dedicated following a parade through the community.

The new memorial that shouts “Respect” is a black center stone that while not listing the names of those killed in past wars, it simply honors “all who served.”

Larry Whetstone had the honor of unveiling the stone on behalf of the Brockton Veterans Memorial Committee.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Ron Roman served as master of ceremonies and gave the history of the project. Father Edward Coleman blessed the monument.
