October 30, 1965 — Frankie Maholick has an incredible game, scoring four touchdowns, but it’s not quite enough as Panther Valley is edged by Parkland 41-37. Maholick catches touchdown passes of 60 and 70 yards from Minnie Goida and also reaches the end zone on a 43-yard run. The senior halfback, who ends the contest with 118 yards rushing on 10 carries, also scores on an 85-yard kickoff return. Mike Winsko adds a pair of TDs on runs of six and 11 yards, and collects 99 rushing yards on 17 attempts. The Panthers finish with 415 yards of offense, but the Trojans use a 28-point fourth quarter to pull out the win.
