State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 6-year-old boy from Albrightsville is the victim of a harassment by physical contact incident that police said occurred on Oct. 3 at a property on Woodland Road, Penn Forest Township.

Police said it is alleged that he was thrown on a bed by his mother’s paramour.

• Police were called to a reckless endangerment incident at 1:38 p.m. Oct. 19 off Amelia Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said it occurred when individuals were using a firing range on private property. They said complainants reported rounds were missing the backstop and passing near the caller’s property. Police said while they were on scene, they could hear rounds “whiz” past them, generally close to their location.

Police said the suspect was informed he needs to improve his backstop before using the range to avoid being charged.

• A 19-year-old Brodheadsville man was cited for harassment by communications after police received a walk-in complaint at their barracks at 4:59 p.m. Oct. 21.

A 20-year-old Effort woman told police the man continuously contacted her after having been asked to cease the communications with her.

• Police cited two women who engaged in a verbal argument over issues with their children.

It occurred at 3:09 p.m. Oct. 21 at a bus stop at Mountain and Woodland roads in Penn Forest Township.

Cited were a 37-year-old and a 42-year-old, both from Albrightsville.

• Police received a ChildLine report to investigate a harassment by physical contact allegation involving a 5-year-old boy from Brodheadsville.

They said the boy reported to school faculty an incident took place between 6-8 a.m. Oct. 10 at a residence on Aazlea Road, Chestnuthill Township.

• Police said they were summoned to a firearm sale or transfer denial case at Dunkelberger’s Sports Outfitter, 1471 Route 209, Brodheadsville.

It took place when the would-be buyer was denied the transaction at 4:37 p.m. June 1.

• Police were summoned to a theft case that happened on Oct. 14 at a property on Dilldown Drive, Penn Forest Township.

A 61-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe reported five packages from Amazon were stolen from her front porch.

Police said a suspect is seen on video surveillance from the victim’s front porch.

Stolen were chia seeds, organic tea, ginseng drink, a plate stand and a kitchen mat, having an approximate value of $70.

• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident that was reported to have occurred at 4:47 p.m. May 26.

A 41-year-old man from Brooklyn, New York, told police windows in his home were smashed in a rock-throwing incident.

The damage are estimated to be around $2,000, police said.

• Police said a 29-gallon propane tank was stolen from a property at 708 Timberline Trail, Chestnuthill Township.

The theft was reported at 8:33 a.m. Aug. 29 by Heller’s Gas, Effort.

Police said a company employee discovered the tank missing upon going there to pick it up. The tank is valued at $158, police said.

• Police are investigating the theft of a delivered FedEx package at a home on Shafer’s Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

A 44-year-old man from Brodheadsville reported the package was stolen between 1:44 and 6 p.m. Sept. 6 from his front porch.

• Police said they were summoned to a terroristic threat incident at 10 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Pleasant Valley Middle School, Chestnuthill Township.

They said a suspect made threats to another student via text message that if he shoots up the school he was going to shoot the student first.

• Joseph Kaso, 36, of Pocono Summit, was cited for harassment after an incident at 11:01 p.m. Oct. 4 at 1635 David Road, Chestnuthill Township.

The victim in the case is Charles Booterbaugh, 59, of Blakeslee, police said.

Police said Kaso was also charged with violating a Protection From Abuse court order.

• Two girls from Saylorsburg, ages 14 and 15, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a fight between the two.

It occurred at 9:16 p.m. Oct. 3 at 1709 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

• Joshua Desriviere, 33, of Effort, is facing a Dog Law citation after an incident at 8:05 a.m. Oct. 1 on Long View Drive, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said one of two dogs owned by him was off-leash and on the property of a 57-year-old woman from Albrightsville, who was bitten by the dog.

• Cheryl Farrell, 40, of Effort, was cited for harassment by physical contact after a domestic incident at 9:42 p.m. Oct. 19 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

A 40-year-old woman from Effort told police Farrell struck her multiple times in the face, causing minor injuries to her nose.

• Roberto Santiago, 24, of Albrightsville, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 9:11 p.m. Sept. 26.

He was stopped in a 2008 Mazda for traffic violations in the 600 block of Route 903, Penn Forest Township, after which time police said they found him to be in possession of suspected marijuana and related paraphernalia.

• Jesse Urdahl, 33, of Ronkonkoma, New York, is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 10:01 p.m. Oct. 4.

He was stopped in a 2013 Honda Civic at 2862 Interstate 80 westbound in Tobyhanna Township, after which time police said they found him to be in possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana.

• A 57-year-old man from Effort is the victim of a theft/crime by deception incident police were called to at a property on Lindsey Lane, Chestnuthill Township.

He told police someone forged two of his personal checks, resulting in the theft of $1,400 from him.
