Everyday we read and hear about terrible things happening in the world, but there are moments when we can all feel good about our fellow man.
Returning home after a refreshing walk along the canal in Weissport on Sunday, I realized I lost my phone. We went back and my husband retraced our steps along the canal, but the phone was not found.
I spent a long night praying that God would touch the heart of the person who found the phone. I have seen the good in so many people and would like to sincerely thank the following for their kind assistance.
The couple in the parking lot who were loading their bikes and offered to ride back up the trail to check on my husband.
The two young men who offered to help and allowed me to use their phone.
The people who walked the trail on Monday looking for the phone.
The friends who posted it on Facebook and put up fliers.
On Monday evening, I received a call that the phone was placed in the mailbox of the Weissport Police. The office redelivered it to our home and said an unsigned note was also in the box stating the phone was found along the canal.
Sincere thanks to the officer and especially to the wonderful, honest individual who found the phone.
May God bless all of you!
There are so many who say, “O that we might see some good! Lift up the light of thy countenance upon us, O Lord!” Psalms 4:6
