Carbon County residents and visitors that like to tent camp at Mauch Chunk Lake Park will see some slight changes to tent camping fees in 2025.

On Thursday, the board of commissioners approved a rate readjustment for the 2025 season on tent camping sites.

Currently, the rates depend on whether the reservation is during in-season months or out-of-season.

The new rates now remove the different rates.

Next year, tent camping will be $25 per night for county residents and $45 per night for non-county residents.

Groups will be $2 per person per night for county residents and $4 per person per night for out-of-county residents.

In addition, the Heritage Festival weekend will increase from $35 for county residents and $40 per night for non-residents to $40 and $50 per night.

The commissioners said that rates for cottages will remain the same at this time.
