Police stop car with fake inspection stickers

The owner of a 2016 Chevrolet Impala that police stopped at 4:10 p.m. Oct. 17 on Interstate 476 was cited for the vehicle not having a valid inspection sticker on it.

State police at Pocono said they stopped the vehicle for having an expired registration, after which time it was determined the inspection and emission stickers on the car were fraudulent.

They said the owner advised them the car was recently acquired and the owner had no knowledge the stickers were fake.
