While conducting an investigation, Troop N Stroudsburg Criminal Investigation Unit members said they discovered that an attorney divulged confidential information to his client, breaching his official duty.

The attorney, William Austin Watkins, Tobyhanna, Monroe County, was formally charged in District Court 43-4-02, Magisterial District Judge Phillip Riley, on charges of obstructing governmental operations and tampering with/fabricating physical evidence. Both charges are misdemeanors.

The investigation is ongoing.
