Denise M. Rivera, 60, of Kunkletown was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:03 p.m. Oct. 17 at the intersection of Route 115 and Meixsell Valley Road in Ross Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the West End Community Ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.

They said the accident happened when she was driving a 2008 Toyota Prius that struck the rear of a 2017 Toyota RAV4 driven by Michael K. Anagnostou, 55, of Saylorsburg, after he stopped in the northbound lane of Route 115 to yield to oncoming traffic. He was uninjured.

Police said the Prius had to be towed from the scene while the RAV4 was able to be driven from it.

Police said Rivera was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
