State police at Fern Ridge report incidents

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police said that between July 1 and 24, someone stole $1,400 from the bank account of a 65-year-old Albrightsville woman who lives on Brookmont Drive in Chestnuthill Township.

• A 35-year-old Brodheadsville man has been charged with arson following an incident at 5:02 p.m. Sept. 11 at a property on Cherry Hill Lane, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said a 33-year-old woman from Brodheadsville reported that she and her brother became involved in an argument, after which he poured gasoline on the floor of the residence and ignited it.

The woman told police she used a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze. Police did not list his name in the press release.

• Police investigated what they called a “criminal trespass” incident.

It was reported at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 24 that someone placed a magnetic tracking device on a 2010 Toyota Tundra and a 2012 Ford owned by a 60-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both from Brodheadsville.

• A 67-year-old man from Saylorsburg was charged with retail theft after police were called to the Weis Market, Weir Lake Road and Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 21.

Police the man is alleged to have taken a 15-pack of Busch Light beer worth $11.99.

• The Family Dollar store, 1421 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, was cited for false alarms after police were called there at 7:26 a.m. Oct. 2.

Police said it was the fourth false alarm that occurred at the store in the past 12 months.

• Joseph Kaso, 36, of Pocono Summit, was cited for harassment after police responded to an incident at 11:01 p.m. Oct. 4 on David Road in Chestnuthill Township.

The incident involved a 59-year-old man from Blakeslee, police said.

• Two Saylorsburg girls, ages 14 and 15, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an altercation at 9:16 p.m. Oct. 3 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the two were fighting.

• Jonathan Frantz, 34, of Kunkletown, and Lauren Clifford, 34, of Albrightsville, were cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to a domestic violence report at 9:13 a.m. Oct. 6 at 24 Keats Lane, Penn Forest Township.

Police said they engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical.
