Comet passing by

Comet C/2023 A3 has been visible to the naked eye in the western sky for days and is drawing attention to the night sky since Sept. 24. The comet is officially named C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan — ATLAS) and, once it disappears, won’t return for another 88,000 years, according to NASA. It can be seen here as a faint streak of light to the left of the American flag, as photographed Thursday evening at the entrance to Sky-View Memorial Park, Lafayette Avenue, Hometown. DONALD R.
