Turnpike crashes

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• Timothy S. Morgan, 46, of Reading, was uninjured when the 2022 Ford F-150 pickup truck he was driving struck and killed a deer at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 8.

It happened at mile marker 109.2 in Bear Creek Township when he was southbound and came upon the deer standing in the right lane of traffic.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle mishap at 11:18 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Pocono Interchange in Kidder Township.

Police said it happened when a 2018 Subaru driven by Elaine M. Hubbard, 81, of Drums, struck the rear of a 2012 Freightliner operated by Thuan H. Dahn, 36, of Killeen, Texas, as the vehicles passed through the interchange.
