State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following crashes:
• Carson M. Nelson, 29, of Jim Thorpe, was injured when a vehicle he was operating collided with a deer on East Old Stage Road, Penn Forest Township, at 10:22 p.m. Sept. 22.
Police said the severity of his injuries is unknown. He was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.
Police said he was driving a 1995 Honda that struck the deer about 1,300 feet east of Piute Trail.
• Hayley S. Counterman, 25, of Sciota, was injured in a two-vehicle mishap at 5 p.m. Oct. 13 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said she refused a medical transport from the scene by personnel from the West End Ambulance.
They said the crash occurred when a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Jonathan S. Flyte, 19, of Brodheadsville, struck the rear of Counterman’s 2007 Hyundai Sonata after the latter slowed due to traffic.
Police said Flyte, who was uninjured, was cited for following too closely.
