Boyle, just a freshman, finishes with a score of 147 over 27 holes to capture the title by five strokes over defending champion Shannon Boyle of Allen. Palmerton’s Vicki Paulas places fourth at the event with a 158. Trailing by two strokes after the opening nine holes, Boyle ends the back nine up by four. During the final nine holes, the Summit Hill native’s lead grows to eight strokes and cruises to the win.
