Staff at the Frackville North Campus of Schuylkill Technology Center received donations to the secondary Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning program scheduled to launch in January.
Clay Leibold and his son, Colton, of Leibold Inc., presented a $3,000 monetary donation to the program along with tools valued at $3,800 from the Steamfitters Pipefitters and Plumbers United Association JATC Local 524.
“Leibold Inc. has been instrumental in the development of the new HVAC program, providing curriculum input, guidance regarding the laboratory space, soliciting support and donations for the program, as well as providing direct financial support,” Shannon Brennan, STC director, said.
A ribbon cutting for the new classroom is being organized by the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce and scheduled for early December.
STC is accepting applicants for the program from participating high school students.
An adult education program is projected to launch in the summer.
