Mrs. Allen (Jean) Kistler of Palmerton was re-elected president of the Pennsylvania Council of Republican Women in Harrisburg last evening before an audience of over 500 convention delegates and guests at the 57th Annual Convention held in the Penn Harris Motor Inn.

Prior to her election as state council president, Mrs. Kistler served as treasurer of the organization and was its convention chairwoman in 1977 and 1978.

She was chairwoman of the Carbon County Council of Republican Women in 1976 and 1978 and is the immediate past president of that group.

Her husband served six terms as the Carbon County controller.
