WEST END NEWS

Local artists’ show

The Kettle Creek Art Gallery is hosting a “Meet the Artists” for West Ender Claudia Hill and Joan Lech of the Lehighton area, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hill uses gourds to show how versatile this natural canvas can be. Gourds can be painted, carved, wood-burned, woven, beaded and sculpted. Lecjh’s woodcarving takes her back to nature with the wood she uses and the wildlife she photographs.

The pair’s works will be on display in the Gallery at Kettle Creek for the month of October.

The gallery is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will be open Saturdays, Oct. 10, and on Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required for this program. There is no charge.
