Tamaqua’s Community Soup Sale benefiting food pantries in the community is still taking orders.
Soup can be purchased online until Oct. 20 at tamaquahunger.tacp/info. Soups can be ordered at the Tamaqua Heritage Festival on Oct. 13.
The homemade soups will be provided by Tamaqua churches, restaurants and civic and service clubs, and will be available for pickup on Oct. 26.
The menu includes beef vegetable from Bethany Evangelical; chicken noodle from St. John UCC; chicken quesadilla and cream of mushroom from the Train Station Restaurant; ham and bean from Stokes Ministries; lasagna soup from Trinity UCC; minestrone from Zion Lutheran; pasta fagioli from St. John XXIII; potato bacon from Zion Lutheran; pumpkin potato from American Primitive Methodist; and sausage tortellini from Tamaqua BPW.
The sale is part of the 2024 Tamaqua Area Hunger Campaign, a project of the Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network and the Tamaqua Area Community Partnership.
The campaign benefits food pantries at American Primitive Methodist, Trinity UCC and Zion Lutheran and the food ministry at Stokes Ministries.
