Monroe County updating hazard plan

The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management and Planning Commissions will be hosting multiple public meeting to discuss the draft 2025 Monroe County Hazard Mitigation Plan. Public participation and involvement are key aspects in the plan update process, multiple avenues including Paper Map Reporting, QR Reporting, and Survey Reporting are available to the public.

Monroe County Office of Emergency Management and Monroe County Planning Commission have conducted and participated in multiple local events to encourage public participation, the surveys and maps will be available until the end of October. The following are some events in October in which the Paper Map Reporting and, QR Reporting, and Survey Reporting will be available at the Barrett Township Open House on Sunday.

A public meeting to review the Risk Assessment section of the draft 2025 Monroe County Hazard Mitigation Plan will be held at 6:30 tonight at the Monroe County Public Safety Center, 100 Gypsum Road, Stroudsburg.

The plan update schedule and supporting materials are available on the Monroe County website under Hazard Mitigation.
