State police the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A Jim Thorpe woman was targeted in a theft by deception/identity theft incident.

Police were called at 5:55 p.m. Sept. 25 to a property on Mountain View Drive West, Penn Forest Township, where the woman reported the theft involving unemployment fraud.

• A 21-year-old Lehighton man was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, after police were summoned to an incident of harassment at 6:39 p.m. Oct. 1.

Police were called to a property on West Lizard Creek Road, East Penn Township, where a 20-year-old woman from Lehighton reported that she had been assaulted.
