The Schuylkill County Master Gardeners have extended their hotline hours until Oct. 31. Call 570-622-4225 each Monday and Wednesday to reach someone on site at 1202 Ag Center Drive, Pottsville.

Voicemail is available 24/7 as well as email to schuylkillmg@psu.edu. When describing shrub, tree, plant, insect, lawn, fruit, vegetable, soil, composting etc. issues, remember the more accurate your verbal description and ample size sample via photo or delivered to the office, the more accurate the answer. Voicemails and emails not delivered on Monday and Wednesday will be returned within a week if full name and contact information are provided.

The group will also hold a Create Your Own Evergreen Wreath and Swag Workshop on Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Friedensburg Fish and Game Building, 169 Stone Mountain Road, Pine Grove.

The Schuylkill County Master Gardeners will provide education on the winter greens and basic process as well as provide necessary supplies which include greens, wire, ribbon and decorative material.
