Weaver opens the scoring with a 1-yard run in the second quarter and adds another 1-yard tally in the third frame. His final score comes in the last period on a 63-yard scamper. Defensively, the Panthers come up with five interceptions — three by Ron Seward — and hold the Devils to minus-49 rushing yards. One of Seward’s picks he returns 36 yards for a touchdown. Other interceptions come from Weaver and Tom Plocinik.
