Driver faces DUI, firearms charges after Schuylkill traffic stop

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported that Terrance Giddings, 45, of Mount Carmel, is facing DUI and firearms charges after police made a traffic stop at 2:17 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 1200 block of the Centre Turnpike (Route 61) in West Brunswick Township.

Police said they stopped the suspect in a 2017 Jaguar just past the Brick Hill Road intersection for traffic violations.

A search of the vehicle revealed multiple narcotics and a firearm in the vehicle, according to police, who said the firearm’s serial number had been obliterated.

Police subsequently arrested Giddings for suspicion of DUI.

Giddings was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Andrew J. Serina, Orwigsburg, and jailed in lieu of $100,000 straight cash bail.
