Game Fellowship with luncheon at Trinity Lutheran Church Luther Hall is Saturday, noon-3 p.m. All are invited for a free lunch and participate in cards and board games. Enter at the door on Iron Street.
First Saturday worship with Holy Communion and baptism at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins at 4 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Synodically Approved Lay Minister Kathy Long presides. Sunday fellowship begins at 10:30 a.m. in Luther Hall.
Weekly Sunday Church School for students ages 3 through grade 6, and confirmation preparatory classes for students in 7-8 grades, begin at 10:45 a.m.

Blessing of the animals: Noon, Oct. 6, on the lawn between the church parking lot and preschool. Rain location is inside Luther Hall. All are invited. Please have your pets leashed or crated and be prepared to clean up after your pet. Special items such as photos or ashes of deceased pets, medals, rings, crosses will be offered in prayer of remembrance in their name.
The Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Tuesdays (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive supplemental food.

The annual Carbon County CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Oct. 13, beginning at 2 p.m. at Riverview Park in West Bowmans. The walk will start at Riverview Park (600 Riverview Road) in East Penn Township and head south along the D&L Trail. Christ Evangelical
Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd., Dr., West in Lehighton holds weekly worship service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. There is a morning prayer time at 9:30 a.m.
Sunday school for children and youth every Sunday at 11 a.m., except the first Sunday of the month.
AWANA — Kids Bible Clubs begins in September. It is held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. AWANA is open to children ages 3 to 12th grade. To register, visit https://christfc.net/awana-bible-club-2/.
A Prayer Shawl Ministry for those who love to knit and crochet is held the second Saturday of the month from 9-11 a.m.
Men’s Ministry is the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
A Food Bank takes place the third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m.-noon. Please bring a driver’s license or some other form of ID.
Ladies Bible Study is held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. and every Friday at 10 a.m.

Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Lehighton, will host Sunday Morning Worship at 10:45 a.m.

St. John’s
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Dr. West, Lehighton will hold worship service with Holy Communion at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
A Fall Bazaar will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Oct. 4; and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 5. Profits from the event go to the Bo Tkach Foundation. For more information, call 570-386-9960.

Grief Support is held at 6 p.m. on Oct. 7.
Dinkey Memorial Church has a food cupboard available to those in need of supplemental food resources. It is available to members of Dinkey Memorial and St. John’s, and to residents of East Penn Township. The distribution is the third Thursday of every month from 3:30-5 p.m. in Dinkey’s Social Room, located below the sanctuary. If you or anyone you know would benefit from receiving food from the Community Cupboard, please speak with Pastor Tony.
A crop walk will take place at 2 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the East Penn Boat Launch, Riverview Road. Meet under the pavilion.
A council meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 14.
Fundraising committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 16.
A dinner and discussion will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 17. There will be no dinner and discussions held from November through February. It will resume in March.
Sunday school for ages 3 to confirmation age will be held Oct. 13 and 27 and Nov. 10 and 24, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
A breakfast will be held from 8-10 a.m. on Oct. 27 in honor of Mahoning Township’s first responders.
A bus trip to Noah at Sight & Sound Theatres is being scheduled for May 7. More information will be announced in the future.
Ben Salem UCC
Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Road, Lehighton, will hold Sunday Worship at 8 a.m. with a Praise Band and at 10:15 a.m. for a traditional service. Communion service will be the first Sunday of each month.
Sunday school is held at 9 a.m. and is open to anyone from nursery through youth.

• Thursday at 6:45 p.m., Handbell Choir Practice.
Youth group is collecting items for Samaritan Purse shoeboxes. Deadline for donations is Nov. 17.
