Lehigh Twp. starts budget talks

Lehigh Township Board of Supervisors discussed the budget and capital improvements for 2025 last week:

• Backup generators are needed for the police station, the borough building and the new maintenance building.

• A new phone system for the three buildings.

• Multifactor authentication is needed for the computer system.

• The police radios in the cars and bodycams need upgrades.

• They would like two internet providers in case one is not working.

• An automated external defibrillator) is needed for the township building.

The Certificate of Occupancy is expected for the new maintenance building will arrive any day. The public works crew has started to move equipment over from the old building to the new one.

Fire Chief Rick Hildebrand asked the supervisors for a revisit of the Fire Company Expenses. The board agreed.

The Board of Supervisors approved Employee Appreciation for a turkey for each employee.

Chairman Mike Jones and Supervisor David Hess were not in attendance.
