Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac said one person was killed in a crash Friday in Polk Township.

The crash between a truck and an SUV happened just before 4 p.m. at the corner of Route 534 and Upper Middle Creek Road.

Yanac said he is waiting to notify next of kin.

Polk Township Fire Company State police at Lehighton are investigating.
