State police at Hazleton

State police at the Hazleton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a lost or mislaid gun report they received from an 83-year-old man from Tresckow.

The man reported that between 1 and 2 p.m. Sept. 14, he misplaced a black Taurus TCP .380 in the vicinity of 30 N. Chestnut St., Banks Township.

The gun was valued at $200.

• A 30-year-old man from Junedale is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop police made at 1:06 a.m. Sept. 15.

He was stopped in a 2017 Dodge Ram in the 100 block of West Magnolia Street, Hazleton.

• A 39-year-old woman from Barnesville is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop police made at 2:22 a.m. Sept. 4.

She was stopped in a 2012 Dodge Ram on Interstate 81 southbound in Hazle Township.

• Police were called to a possible overdose on North Chestnut Street in Tresckow, Banks Township, at 9:54 p.m. July 22.

They said the incident involved a 15-year-old girl from Tresckow.

• A 17-year-old boy from White Haven reported to police he was the victim of a harassment by physical contact incident that occurred at 1:51 p.m. Aug. 24 on Interstate 80 eastbound in Butler Township.

He told police that he was engaged in a fight on the right shoulder of the interstate with the operator of another vehicle. The altercation followed a road rage incident.

• Ankiewicz Enterprises, Tamaqua, reported a criminal mischief incident that police responded to on Route 940 in Hazle Township.

Police said between midnight Aug. 6 and 8 a.m. Aug. 8, someone damaged a milling machine and a tar buggy owned by the company.

The damage was estimated at $5,700, police said.
