Ss. Peter and Paul schedule
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish by the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., throughout the year at 4 p.m. on Saturdays, 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays, and 8 a.m. Monday through Friday for daily Mass. We welcome you, or welcome you back, to worship the Lord at our parish.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, and about 30 minutes before Masses on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Eucharist is exposed for personal prayer from noon to 9 p.m. every Thursday. We particularly need adorers between 5 and 7 p.m. On first Fridays, we also have Adoration and Confessions available from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process of formation for disciples of Jesus in the Catholic Church. For those interested in learning more about the Catholic Church and receiving any of the Sacraments of Initiation (baptism, Holy Eucharist, and confirmation), contact the rectory.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Services include individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals). Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in the former convent building on 242 N. Third St. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need and seeks donations of the same. For more information, call Esther at 570-657-6738.
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is hosting a free Community Spaghetti Dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the parish hall.

Land of Peace is an organization that sells olive wood religious articles to benefit Christians living in the Holy Land. They will be here this weekend, selling items in the parish hall after all weekend Masses.
“Fulfilled: Uncovering the Biblical Foundations of Catholicism” uncovers God’s consistent design for our worship of Him and His relationship with us. Consider the Jewish tabernacle as the blueprint for Christ and the Catholic faith, specifically our liturgical calendar, priesthood, purgatory, baptism, and more. Blessing of Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 and 9 a.m. Oct. 5 in the Coal Street parking lot.
The parish Forty Hours Eucharistic Devotion will take place after each morning’s 8 a.m. Mass on Oct. 15, 16 and 17, with adoration beginning and continuing until 6:30 p.m. with solemn evening prayer and benediction. On Oct. 15, the diocesan-wide “Angelorum” choir will accompany the prayer and offer selections of sacred music. One of the newly-ordained deacons from the diocese will be preaching each evening.
The Knights of Columbus Damien Council #598 meets at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month in the parish hall, followed by the Msgr. Agnello Angelini Assembly of the Fourth Degree Knights at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting is on Oct. 1.
