Nesquehoning Hurricanes vs Bowling Green U (1945)

At the age of 10 in 1945, give or take a year or two, Bowling Green U. played the Nesquehoning Hurricanes in the Lansford Stadium. That’s the same B.G.U. that played Penn State U. a few days ago (9/7/24). I don’t recall the winner of that Hurricane game but it probably was B.G.U., since this event took place about 80 years ago.

I’m wondering if there are any readers that recall this event. In order to validate my memory, I wrote to B.G.U. a few years ago regarding this game, but never heard from them.

Tony Mezza & Sam Pagano coached the Hurricanes for years, but I don’t recall if they were coaching around 1945.
