The Jim Thorpe Halloween Parade will be held Saturday, Oct. 26. The parade lineup will be at the Jim Thorpe High School at 1 p.m. The parade begins at 2 p.m.

Because of the traffic issues last year, the parade route has been changed for this year’s edition of the event.

The parade will leave the Jim Thorpe Area High School and proceed down Center Street to Ninth Street and turn right. The parade will cross North Street and turn left onto Lehigh Street. Participants will continue down Lehigh and turn left onto Fifth Street, crossing North Street again, then turn right onto Center Street.

The parade will end at Third and Center streets. Buses will shuttle participants back to Memorial Park, where there will be free refreshments and awards.

The parade is being organized by the Jim Thorpe Lions Club, and more participants are welcome. The deadline to enter is Oct. 21.
