Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre awarded more than 300 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees during its summer commencement ceremony on Sept. 8.

The event was held at the McHale Athletic Center in the Simms Center.

The following local students earned their degrees:

Jim Thorpe: Alexandra Farano, Doctor of Nurse Practice.

Kunkletown: Keisha Sewell-Ewers, Master of Science, nursing.

McAdoo: Rosangel Del Rosario, Bachelor of Science, nursing.

Orwigsburg: Sean Croley, Bachelor of Arts, sociology.

Palmerton: Devyn Hauser, Bachelor of Science, nursing; Jessica Natividad; Master of Science, nursing.

Tamaqua: Jacquelyn Hartz, Master of Science, education.
