State police at Bethlehem
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:
• Jarret Klinger, 40, of Slatington, was cited for driving while his license is suspended due to a DUI-related offense after a traffic stop police made at 1:59 a.m. Sept. 10.
He was stopped for traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2009 Audi in the 3700 block of Mountain Road, Washington Township.
• Police responded to a terroristic threats incident at 10:53 a.m. Sept. 5.
It happened on Main Street, Washington Township. They did not provide any other details of the incident.
• Roy Schlegel, 37, and Joshua Hensinger, 41, both of Slatington, were arrested by police after an incident at 11:12 a.m. Aug. 28.
It happened at 694 Interstate 476 in Washington Township. Police said they were in the area and located a wanted man who fled. He was apprehended on the warrant.
Police did not say which of the two men were arrested on the warrant charges but did say the case involved possession of drugs.
• A 34-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, both from Schnecksville, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to an active domestic disturbance at 8:21 p.m. Aug. 26 at 4209 Iroquois St., North Whitehall Township.
• A stepfather and his stepson were cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a disturbance at 2:44 p.m. Sept. 12 at a property on Peters Road in Heidelberg Township.
Cited were a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Germansville, after they engaged in an argument that police said led to a fight in the front yard of the residence.
• A 30-year-old man from Coplay was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal mischief after police responded to a disturbance at 11:40 a.m. Aug. 19 on Buchanan Street in North Whitehall Township.
The incident involved a 36-year-old man from Whitehall and a 65-year-old woman from Laurys Station.
Police said that a 2017 Maserati Quattroporte and a 2008 Hyundai Elantra were also involved in the incident.
• Police said a man who was denied a firearm purchase that he attempted to make on Jan. 20 has been arrested on weapons-related charges.
The attempted purchase occurred at the Relic Hunter firearms dealership, 4671 Egypt Road, North Whitehall Township, resulting in the arrest of Luis Herrera, no address listed.
Police said that a check on the PICS statewide system determined that Herrera was prohibited from purchasing and/or possessing a firearm due to a prior criminal conviction.
