Nearly 300 Summit Hill residents last night gave a standing vote of approval to the $500,000 SOS drive for funds for new industry in the Panther Valley.
Meeting in the Summit Hill High School with members of the Board of Directors of the Carbon-Schuylkill Industrial Development Corporation, the community’s residents were the second group to unanimously endorse the upcoming industrial drive. Lansford residents voted approval of the concept last week.
Members of the Summit Hill general committee will work in cooperation with the seven CSIDC executive board members from Summit Hill, including Afra Frassinelli, Cecil Johns, William Llewellyn, Jacob Szczecina, Paul Pavlick, Quinton Miller and Frank Wehr.
