The Jim Thorpe Lions Club will host “Don’t Get Lost in the Woods”, a presentation and interactive session on how to prevent residents from becoming lost, and skills on how to survive until help arrives.

All ages are welcome.

There will be refreshments afterwards, and free sight screenings for children from 6 months to 6 years of age.

The program will be held at the Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club, 1590 Reservoir Road, Jim Thorpe, on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 3 p.m.

The Jim Thorpe Lions Club will also have the photographs that were lent to the club to produce the new Hometown Hero banners that were hung throughout the borough.
