Carbon Career & Technical Institute will partner with state Rep. Doyle Heffley during the school’s open house on Oct. 16.
During the event, held at the school at 150 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe between 5 and 8 p.m., the school will allow visitors to meet the teachers and learn about the programs offered at the school.
There is also a car show, craft vendors and food trucks.
In addition, the Family Resource and Addiction Prevention Expo will take place at the same time in the school’s cafeteria.
The purpose of the expo is to provide families and community leaders with opportunities to learn about resources that are available to them.
