A race and walk to benefit the Tamaqua Public Library will be held Oct. 19 in Tamaqua.

The “Book It: Choose Happiness, Choose Libraries” event features a 3K walk and a 5K run, along with a Broad Street stroll.

Registration fee includes T-shirt, hot dog, snacks and drinks after the race. Prizes will be awarded.

Register by Oct. 1 to guarantee a shirt for race day. The event will be held rain or shine, and registration begins at 8 a.m. Call the library at 570-668-4660.
