State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Jose Reyes, 29, of Freemansburg, was charged with “strangulation” by state police at the Bethlehem barracks after they responded to a domestic disturbance at 12:34 a.m. Sept. 7 on West Main Boulevard in East Allen Township.

Reyes assaulted and choked a 30-year-old woman from Bath, according to police.

They said he applied pressure to the throat and neck of the woman on several, including using zip ties to prevent her from breathing.

The suspect attempted to run from the scene, police said.

• The Dollar Tree, Route 873, Washington Township, was cited for “false alarms/dialing devices” after police responded there for a false alarm at 1:23 a.m. Sept. 16.

Police said all of the windows and doors of the building were locked and secured.
