Schuylkill crashes

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following crash:

• Jaden W. Shubeck, 22, of Nesquehoning, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance following a one-vehicle crash at 2:06 a.m. July 4 on Route 54 in Rush Township, police said.

Shubeck was driving a 2019 Dodge Charger east when it exited the left side of the road on a curve and hit an embankment and rolled, police said.

The driver was uninjured but was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale, for a blood draw, police said.

The Ryan Township Emergency and Rescue Squad responded to the scene to assist police.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:22 p.m. Sept. 9 on East Main Street in Frailey Township.

Police said the crash occurred when a 2005 Mazda driven by a 16-year-old girl from Valley View, traveling south, was stopped in the travel lane with its left turn signal on. The driver then reentered the roadway and struck a 2018 Dodge Durango operated by Caitlin S. Ryan-Mroczka, 36, of Barnesville, according to police.

The Mazda had minor damage, while the Durango had disabling damage and needed to be towed from the scene.

Police said the girl was cited after the crash.

• Johanne Zamecnik, 70, of Saint Clair, had minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 1:31 p.m. Aug. 30 on Route 895 in West Brunswick Township.

Police said a transport by the Auburn Fire Company Ambulance Service that responded was not needed.

Zamecnik was driving a 2006 Toyota south when she failed to stop at a red traffic signal and the vehicle struck a 2010 Dodge operated by Alice M. Wapinsky, 60, of Auburn, police said. Wapinsky was uninjured.

Police said the Toyota sustained disabling damage and was towed, while the Dodge had minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Zamecnik was cited after the crash.
