September 20, 1963 — Lehighton’s defense limits Stroudsburg to just 86 yards of offense to gain a 13-0 shutout victory in a Lehigh Valley League contest. The Indians, coached by Mike Ebbert, get the only score they would need in the second quarter on a 65-yard drive. A 37-yard pass from Kerry Bowman to Jake Boyer is the key play during the march, which ends with a 1-yard touchdown run by Dave Werner. The winners add an insurance tally in the final frame when Bowman reaches the end zone on a 3-yard run. Defensively, Denny Yenser and Roy Fritzinger both make numerous tackles.
