Beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, Route 61 just north of Darkwater Road will be lane restricted in both directions with traffic being shifted to the northbound side, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

At noon on Friday and until Tuesday, there will be continual 15-minute traffic stoppages to allow for rock removal work.

Motorists should expect delays.

This work is part of the ongoing Route 61 St. Clair to Frackville Restoration Project.
