A 69-year-old man from Bath is facing multiple charges relating to incidents where authorities said he uploaded sexual materials in a child exploitation case.
State police at the Fogelsville barracks said the PSP Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Southeast Computer Crime Task Force, initiated an investigation after receiving a CyberTipLine report from the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Police said the report was forwarded to the task force by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, reporting the man was involved in uploading 10 files depicting child sexual abuse material/child exploitation material, using Google at 3:44 p.m. Aug. 29, 2023.
Police said an investigation began on May 6 of this year and the arrest was made after further investigation and execution of a search warrant on the accused’s residence, where files of child sexual abuse material were located on the man’s cellphone.
