Auxiliary meeting
The Auxiliary of Post 927 will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m.

Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Kresgeville, returned to its two worship services on Sunday. Those services are held at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
One can also join the service on Facebook Live at 10:30 a.m.
Hoagie deadline
McMichaels UMC is holding a hoagie sale. Orders must be placed by tomorrow at 610-597-1030. The hoagies must be picked up by noon on Sept. 19.
Missions dinner
The West End Missions dinner held by Our Lady Queen of Peace Church is at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The church hosts the event every second and fourth Thursday.
MC Seniors
The West End group of Monroe County Seniors will meet again at 9 a.m. Friday, at Zion Lutheran church in Brodheadsville.
Attendees choice of lunch order must be made by calling the site director, Donna Riedel, at 570-242-6770 by 10 a.m. the day before.
The following meeting is Wednesday, at 9 a.m. Meal reservations must again be made the day ahead by 10 a.m.
Middlecreek’s Fusion
The annual Fusion event hosted yearly by Middlecreek Christian Church is happening this weekend, beginning with Friday’s 5 p.m. dinner and family games followed by music from “Jordan River Ramblers.” Enjoy the movie “Unsung Hero” under the stars and conclusion of the evening, a Campfire Bible Study.

Polk meeting
A general meeting for Polk Township is slated for 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Breakfast served
McMichaels UMC is hosting a donation-only breakfast from 8-10 a.m., Saturday.
Attending individuals and families can listen to the band music of Dennis Maida while eating.
Ross Museum open
On Saturday, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Ross Township Historical Society will host an open house at the township museum located next to the township building at 258 Anchorage Road.
Admission is free, but both monetary and artifact donations are accepted.
Catechetical Sunday
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church is celebrating Catechetical Sunday this Sunday.
Forms can be found on the church’s website as children must be registered for religious education.
Flea Market
St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 924 Rt. 115 Saylorsburg is holding a flea market from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Call 570-992-7311 for information.
The church will also feature a lunch counter, selling hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, beverages and home baked treats. The rain date is Sept. 21.
Final breakfast
EAA 839 will hold its final Pancake Breakfast of 2024 on Sunday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. It is a rain or shine event. Young Eagles flights available, music by DJ Dillan, and Classic Cars on the grounds.

Medicare help
For those folks turning the Medicare age of 65, there will be a free presentation on how to understand Medicare, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, hosted by Brookmont in Effort.

Gift of Life topic
The Western Pocono Women’s Club will host Chris and Bill Hankee, presenters for the Gift of Life organ donation program at its monthly meeting Monday, at Effort UMC, beginning at 7 p.m.
Military Share
The American Legion in Gilbert has been and is hosting a Military Share program from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. every third Tuesday of the month at the Gilbert American Legion in Gilbert.
The program, begun in 2023, is “designed to provide food for families with at least one member in the household (or surviving spouses) that have served or is currently serving in the armed forces.”

No C’hill meeting
The Chestnuthill Township Board of Supervisors will not meet on Tuesday due to nothing on the agenda. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 7.
VALOR PTSD
The monthly VALOR support meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert.
Pizza sale
McMichaels Methodist is having a pizza sale. Orders are being accepted by Martha Stout at 570-992-6742 by Sept. 19. The pizza can be picked up at McMichaels Church on Saturday, Sept. 28 by noon.
