Both Northwestern soccer teams cruised to wins on Tuesday, while Palmerton (boys soccer, golf) and Pleasant Valley (volleyball, golf) each gained victories in two different sports.

The Blue Bombers also received an individual win from Connor Hibell in a Colonial League multi-team cross country meet.

Jacob van Lierop had a hat trick to lead Northwestern to a 7-0 victory over Bangor in Colonial League play.

Jack Mauro, Caelen Stangil, Benjamin Bachman and Garrett Jones also added goals for the Tigers.

Karissa Moyer scored in the first half for the Indians, who led 1-0 at halftime. Cassidy Litts made 17 saves for Lehighton, which also received a goal from Lilliana Suarez.

Palmerton’s Connor Hibell took first place during the boys race of a multi-team Colonial League meet.

Hibell ran a 14:40 to win by 25 seconds and help the Bombers post a 2-1 mark. Lehighton’s Elijah Pagotto placed fourth as the Indians also went 2-1, while Thorpe’s Bowden Chicarelli finished 10th as his team went 2-1.

In the girls competition, Lehighton’s Claudia Pagotto and Brielle Frable both recorded top-five finishes.
