Local Roundup: Results from Sept. 9

Northwestern’s Brook Balliet and Tamaqua’s Kimmy Rudy both had hat tricks to lead their respective teams to wins in girls soccer action on Monday.

Jim Thorpe posted victories in two sports — boys soccer and volleyball — while the Blue Raiders also picked up a golf win.

BOYS SOCCER

North Schuylkill-Jim Thorpe

Jim Thorpe received goals from four different players to earn a 4-1 non-league victory over North Schuylkill.

Ehren Hassler had a goal and an assist for Thorpe, while Blaze Flyzik, Henry Snyder and Conor Holland also tallied for the Olympians.
