Slatington Mayor Jeralyn Schoch started the process of letting the public know about ordering Hometown Hero Banners.

Slatington, Walnutport and Washington Township are participating in the venture.

At the last meeting, details were given that the banners will be 24 inches by 48 inches.

The cost at this time is $104.95 for the banner, and each banner needs two brackets at a cost of $64.95 for each.

The website to order will be available soon.

Slatington banners will be hung on Main Street.

Washington Township will hang its banners on Route 873 north to Victory Park.

Walnutport has not determined the placement of the banners yet.
