Police arrest NJ homicide suspect found in Polk Twp.

A man wanted for criminal homicide in New Jersey and a home invasion in Northampton County was taken into custody in Polk Township on Thursday.

State police said Damian Latrell Bass, 19, was wanted by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office for a shooting that occurred at the Long Branch train station in New Jersey.

Bass was also wanted by the Nazareth Police Department in relation to a home invasion, police said.

According to police, troopers, United States Marshals Task Force, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey Transit Police conducted a fugitive investigation in Effort, Polk Township, that resulted in Bass’s arrest.

Law enforcement transported Bass to the Stroudsburg state police barracks where he was charged as a fugitive of justice and arraigned on the Northampton County charges.

He is being held at the Monroe County Correctional Facility pending extradition to New Jersey, police said.
