TOPS meetings
Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Kresgeville, hosts a TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meeting at 6 p.m. every Wednesday this month at Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kresgeville.
Adoration sign-up

OES meeting set
Monroe Chapter No. 99 Order of the Eastern Star will be meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rimrock Masonic Center at 2720 Rim Rock Drive, Stroudsburg.
Current dues cards are required for meeting. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the meeting.
Chestnuthill Sr. Center
The Chestnuthill Senior Center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekly at Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville. Donna Riedel is the manager. She can be contacted at 570-242-6770. Call her one day in advance for ordering the lunch that day.
The menu for Friday is an egg bake or garden salad. For next Wednesday it is meatloaf or Cob salad.
Donations sought
The Senior Centers of Monroe County are seeking donations of colorful and festive paperware. Any West Ender may take donations to the center at Zion Lutheran in Brodheadsville on Wednesdays or Fridays.
Two items shared
Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church will host the Brotherhood Men’s Breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday in the lower level of the church, and on Sunday the Partnership Class is also being held there.
Pavilion concert
Effort UMC has scheduled a Pavilion Concert for Saturday, rain or shine. The Kings of Queen Street are scheduled to perform from 6 to 7:30 p.m., rain or shine. Free food will be available from 5:30 p.m.
Folks are reminded to bring a lawn chair.
A free will be offering for the band will be received.
Community supper
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church is hosting its next Community Supper at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Sunday deadline
St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, reminds folks who have pictures or memories to share in regard to the church’s history that Sunday is the deadline for sharing such items with the church.
They should be marked as to who owns them if one wishes them to be returned.

Deadline tomorrow
The Western Pocono Women’s Club members have a busy September schedule, with a September Out dinner at Timbers Pub in Reeders at 6 p.m.
Then members will be visiting Getz Personal Care Home to do a fall scarecrow craft activity with the residents at 2 p.m. on Monday. All supplies will be provided.
On Sept. 13, the club will be involved in making Christmas cards for the military and veterans, meeting from 10 a.m. to noon in the Community Room at ShopRite. All supplies will be provided
The club will host Chris and Bill Hankee, presenters for the Gift of Life organ donation program at its monthly meeting, Sept. 16, at Effort UMC.
The club will be collecting Halloween candy for the Halloween in the Park event at the Chestnuthill Township Park.
