Ronald S. Kokinda of Beaver Meadows assumed his correctional officer’s position at the Carbon County Correctional Facility after having served in a temporary position in a county row office.

Kokinda had been serving as a temporary deputy in the office of Carbon County Sheriff Peter P. Hoherchak, who confirmed the change in status that took place yesterday.

Prison Warden William H. Clarke sad Kokinda’s reassignment to the sheriff’s office was contingent upon a union contract being signed by prison personnel. Following the ratification of the pact, Kokinda returned to the jail to work.
