M80 Band brings upbeat music to stage
They’re a top tier regional touring retro cover band that performs the very best of the 1980s smash hits.
Prepare to come along for the ride when the M80 Band hits the Main Stage from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at this year’s Palmerton Community Festival.
This will mark the band’s first-ever performance at the festival, said Bryan Harmony, lead vocalist.
“We were booked last year, but unfortunately the performance was rained out,” Harmony said. “We are thrilled to have been asked back, and are looking forward to an amazing night.”
Harmony said the audience can expect selections from artists like Madonna, Toto, The Cars, Duran Duran, The B52’s, Billy Idol, Bon Jovi, Def Leopard, and a list of hits that just goes on and on.
In addition to the 1980s hits, the band also plays select ’70s and early ’90s sprinkled in for a well-rounded performance the entire audience will enjoy.
“An M80 show will consist of a high-energy party vibe, well known singalong hits, audience engagement and nonstop medleys,” he said. “The band is family-friendly, and we encourage dancing, toe tapping and taking your song requests.”
Harmony described the vibe of the festival.
“The Palmerton Community Festival is all about bringing the community together for a fun weekend of family, friends, food, rides and great music which we are honored to supply,” he said.
The band is in its 19th year of music and plays regularly at casinos and resorts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as stints in Key West, Florida, two or three times a year.
