State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 34-year-old woman from Slatington was targeted in a theft by deception/fraud incident police were called to at 1:10 p.m. Aug. 24.

The incident occurred on Xenia Court in Washington Township.

• The operator of a 2006 Saab that police stopped in the 6700 block of Route 309 in Lynn Township was found to have an active warrant against him.

Police did not provide the name of the arrestee who was taken into custody at 9:01 p.m. Aug. 23.

• A 74-year-old man from Orefield was targeted in a theft by deception incident police were called to at 8:46 p.m. Aug. 22 at a property on Third Avenue, North Whitehall Township.

He told police someone contacted him and instructed him to purchase Target gift cards totaling $1,000. The man said he provided the gift card numbers over the phone, after which time the person promptly hung up on him.

• A 20-year-old woman from Norristown is facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 22.

She was stopped in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala for several Motor Vehicle Code violations in the 5000 block of Route 873 in North Whitehall Township. Police said she had a small amount of marijuana.

• Police were called to Lehigh Valley Truck ‘n Auto, 4312 Main St., North Whitehall Township, to investigate a counterfeit/forged check incident at 2:25 p.m. Aug. 21.

Police said a check a representative of the firm put in the mail that was written for $1,368.26 and mailed to Tolland, Connecticut, was altered to create a new amount of $50,000.

• Kyle Milliard, 34, of Schnecksville, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to an incident at 6:13 a.m. Aug. 17 at the intersection of routes 100 and 309 in Heidelberg Township.

Police said they were summoned to check the welfare of an individual reported to be unconscious in the driver’s sear of a running 2009 Ford Focus. Milliard was awakened and given standardized field sobriety testing, after which time he was taken into custody.

• The theft of $150 worth of scrap metal was reported stolen at 12:46 p.m. Aug. 16 by Lehigh Carbon Community College, North Whitehall Township. The theft occurred at a property on Education Park Drive in the township.

• Police chased a 2015 Infiniti Q50 through Northampton and Lehigh counties before the pursuit was ended in Allentown.

The chase occurred at 1:01 a.m. Aug. 5 when police observed the car engaged in street racing.

• Police said the driver of a 2016 Ford Transit was found unconscious behind the wheel at 4:01 p.m. July 20.

The incident took place at the intersection of Willowbrook and East Bullshead roads n Allen Township. The man was removed from the vehicle by personnel from the Northampton Regional EMS corps and transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

• Police said a $15,000 bronze turkey statue owned by Jaindl Farms, North Whitehall Township, was stolen around 11 p.m. July 14.

A male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and face mask entered the company’s property at Cesanek and Seemsville roads, Allen Township, and took the statue.
